Commissions

I do take on commissions but it will take me a few weeks to complete a commissioned artwork as I am a part-time artist. That’s why when taking on commissions I do not work on a fixed deadline.

I prefer to work from a high resolution photograph that shows the details of the subject, the more detailed the photo the more detailed the artwork will be. The reference photo needs to be free of copyright or the copyright needs to be owned by the commissioner. I can do the artwork in pastels, colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, acrylics or oils. Oils will take a lot longer as the drying (curing) time of oil paints is quite long. All materials I use are archival quality.

The price of a commissioned artwork varies due to materials, sizes and number of subjects. But to get an idea a 12” x 15.5” (30cm x 40cm) pastel artwork with one subject would be $750.00.
